CrossIce Developments

My name is Chance Szott, and I am the Owner/Founder of CrossIce Developments- the new premiere elite hockey development company in Central Alberta. I am also as of recently, an Assistant Coach for the Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. I wanted to send this letter out earlier this year than I did last year, to inform everyone about our August Prep Camps taking place in Lacombe, AB, this fall. This season, we are running age groups all the way from Atom, up to Midget/Junior aged. The goal of these camps is to not only prepare players for their respective upcoming try-outs/hockey seasons, but also to further develop their skills, confidence, and athleticism, to ultimately make them better hockey players and better athletes.

An exciting addition for CrossIce Developments this year has been the partnership with past Owner of Breakaway Training JASON PETRIE. Jason comes to CrossIce with over 20 years of Jr A scouting experience, 5 years of running Breakaway Training primarily out of Lacombe, and being the current Sports Performance Teacher at Lacombe Composite High School. His knowledge of skill development, how to relate to players through proper instruction, and how to translate off-ice training into a players on-ice game, is second to none. Jason is also coordinating CrossIce Developments’ off-ice training programs based out of Lacombe this summer- creating age-appropriate programs for players who want to get to the next level. Programs/work-outs are tailored to players’ age, body types, positions, past injuries, genetics, movement patterns, and more. The age groups/camp schedule/dates for our AUGUST 2019 CAMPS are as follows:

ATOM/PEEWEE PREP CAMP- AUGUST 19-22, AND 26-29, 2019- $350.00/PLAYER
Camp includes 8 hours of on-ice and 4 hours of dryland training. 4pm-4:30pm Dryland, 5pm-6pm On-Ice

BANTAM PREP CAMP- AUGUST 19-22, AND 26-29, 2019- $350.00/PLAYER
Camp includes 8 hours of on-ice and 4 hours of dryland training, 5:15pm-5:45pm Dryland, 6:15pm-7:15pm On-Ice

MIDGET PREP CAMP- AUGUST 19-22, AND 26-29- $300/PLAYER
Camp includes 10 hours of on-ice instruction, 7:30pm-8:45pm

All camp days will be at the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex in Lacombe, Alberta. Camp has been designed to free up players for family time on weekends. IF YOUR CHILD CAN’T MAKE ALL THE SKATES IN HIS/HER AGE GROUP, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US.
